Here's an example of a Daily Planet cover featuring my shots of Abby Hoffman, Jeff Beck, John McLaughlin, Angela Davis, Ellis and Jerry Rubin, and Alice Cooper, circa July, 1972. Published in Miami by Jerry Powers. Powers was also a well known rock concert promoter. Most notably the Doors concert in which Jim Morrison got arrested on stage and banned from playing in Miami for 20 years by "allegedly" exposing himself on stage and the extreme usage of foul language. While shooting as Staff Photographer for "The Planet" I covered most every concert in town many of which were promoted by Powers. Powers now publishes the international monthly, Ocean Drive Magazine on South Beach. Click photos below for some staff portraits.
