Stephen Arthur Diamond

1946 - 2006

Giving thanks one more time, thank you God for all and everything. It's all been a stone groove, even the bad has been hilarious! Proved my point: God is the world's best screenwriter. S.D. July 7, 2005

At the turn of the last millennium, author, activist, Steve Diamond was interviewed on subjects ranging from the One Day in Peace Thought Wave Project, to The Beatles. The interview was filmed on the Southernmost US barrier island, Key Biscayne in South Florida. Grateful props to Robert Baldwin of Lightworks for videography. You may click on the legacy TV sets above to download and watch that interview in 5 easy pieces.

Ah the Channel Islands or as Steve called them

"The Channeled Islands"

Steve told me that when he first came to Santa Barbara he was at a place on a cliff overlooking the Pacific admiring the view. They went out for awhile and upon they're return the Channel Islands were now visible as the fog had lifted.  Ever since, he called them the Channeled Islands as they appeared and disappeared mercurially like a visiting guest.

Thought provoking signage at the train Depot

Santa Barbara is unspeakably beautiful. I can see how Steve was drawn to this town like a moth to a flame . This was shot on my last day there after the wake. A few days earlier, Steve had told me go to go down to the beach, 3 blocks from his place. He said it was one of the most beautiful in the world.

He was right.
